AURORA, Come on Board Our Fast-Asset and Speak with the Operative Crew (ENG)
05/09/2025 , supporting program
Idioma: Deutsch

We would like to set up a small corner made of one or two vans with a tarp, located in the main area of Wokule, with some space to sit and hang out.
We’ll prepare a few posters with basic information about the Aurora project, and interested people are welcome to stop by, have a chat, and learn more about what life on board Aurora is like from crew members.

We would like to set up a small corner made of one or two vans with a tarp, located in the main area of Wokule, with some space to sit and hang out. We will prepare a few posters with all basic informations about the Aurora project.

We are planing to give a short talk (aprox. 1 hour) on two different days about the Aurora project a little in general, but mainly from the perspective of the permananet crew – so what it’s like to be on rotation. As far as we are able, we will also try to describe what the future might look like, especially regarding the new Trent Class.

The people participating will be:

– Robin (Skipper)
– Jakob (Engineer)

Furthermore, we plan to have some “open hours”, where interested people can drop by, have a chat, and ask questions in person about the operations.

Since we don’t have much time to set up a proper presentation or build a fancy location, everything will probably be a bit improvised. The main idea is to show presence and give especially Sea-Watch people – who haven’t had much chance to connect with us so far – an opportunity to get in touch.
