Clara Osma

Clara Osma is an activist with Italiani Senza Cittadinanza, one of the leading voices in the campaign for the Citizenship Referendum, from the signature collection in September 2024 to the mobilization for the vote in June 2025. Born and raised in Italy to Albanian parents, she earned two university degrees in the country where she was born but was not recognized as a citizen until the age of 25. Today, with Italian citizenship finally obtained, she fights for a fairer law so that no one will have to grow up in the bureaucratic limbo she personally experienced.

She works as a social worker in refugee camps in Berlin, and as an intercultural mediator in Berlin for Albanian and other migrants. Clara works to build bridges between Italy and Albania and strongly opposes detention centers for migrants (CPRs), which the Italian government has even opened in Albania. She is an active member of the NAMD (Network against Migrant Detention) and Palestina e lirë (Free Palestine Albania).

Hers is a transnational and decolonial struggle for the rights, freedom, and dignity of all migrants.

We have been providing humanitarian assistance to migrants and refugees on the Polish-Belarusian border since 2022.

We also conduct searches for missing and deceased persons and facilitate contact with their families. We also organize funerals for the deceased.

We strive to provide substantive and material support to migrants and refugees who are undergoing procedures or have been granted international protection in Poland. We assist these individuals in contacting institutions and offices and organize material support for them.

Since February 2024, we have been operating as an association.

As part of POPH, we also plan to establish a professional search and rescue group, which will be integrated into the nationwide rescue system.

In cooperation with the International Humanitarian Initiative Foundation, we have helped establish a psychological and psychotherapeutic support center in the Jazdów district of Warsaw. It is also a meeting place for people with migrant and refugee experience. In the future, we plan to create a museum here, showcasing items found during POPH interventions.

Our emergency mergency number is +48 511 911 999.

No Lager Osnabrück

We are a locally and nationally connected anti-racist group. Together with people who are actively or passively affected by the asylum law, who experience racism themselves or who want to support those who do, we organize ourselves against the status quo. We see ourselves as part of transnationally connected struggles against the presence of nation-state borders and racist policies of isolation. Therefore we fight for self-determined freedom of movement and the good life for all. Standing up for each other, we use visible and invisible forms of protest, civil disobedience and practical solidarity.

What does that mean in concrete terms? People in different situations come to our meetings: Some are facing deportation or are preparing for their asylum interview. Others want to point out the conditions in camps like Bramsche-Hesepe or Sedanstrasse, for example violence by the so-called security services. Still others have stress in dealing with authorities and their harassment – such as the Ausländerbehörde or the Job Center. Some simply want to be part of a group where they can use their energy and knowledge to help others. In the plenum and in various working and support groups, we organize ourselves and exchange knowledge, arrange contact with counseling services and lawyers or language schools and meeting places.

Part of this work is always the political analysis and scandalization of the problems and experiences of exclusion. Some of this becomes visible, for example, here on our Blog: https://nolageros.noblogs.org/

I am 18 years old and have been living in Germany for two years. Before coming here, I experienced a lot of violence at a young age. I knew I had to find safety and a better life, so I made the difficult decision to escape. My journey led me through the brutal and dehumanizing conditions at the Belarus–Poland border, where I faced serious danger and fear. But despite all the challenges, I survived.
Since arriving in Germany, I have learned the language and started rebuilding my life. I’m now working towards starting my medicine degree, and I’ve also become an activist and advocate. My main focus is raising awareness about borders and the treatment of refugees especially based on my firsthand experience at the Polish-Belarusian border.
I have shared my story publicly in panel discussions in Berlin and and participated in conferences in warsaw where I spoke about the realities refugees face, especially women and young people like me. I believe in using my voice to speak for those who cannot.
